I AM Studios is a creative agency established in 2021 based in the Bay of Plenty, Aotearoa. Creators Angel & Zion grew up together in the Bay of Plenty region and both have a passion for creative expression and genuine heart for helping people.
We both have backgrounds in youth work & marketing, where it seemed like a go & the idea of I AM Studios began through some good yarns at a bakery over some delish pies! We both gained a revelation of not only pursuing a business but helping people discover who they are, their identity, their uniqueness they can bring to the world. We call it "I AM" - which where our name comes from.
Being young people ourselves has been a journey navigating the business world. However we strongly believe in our capabilities and that it is our uniqueness in bringing a fresh approach to all we do. This has also given us the desire for young people to be big apart of our business - through enabling self-belief and opportunities for young people!
We have both enjoyed the journey, the lessons & the amazing people/ brands we have met along the journey! We hope to continue to inspire others to be authentically themselves and bring their flavour to the table.

the name 'i am' comes from the revelation of IDENTITY, encouraging people to 'know who you are' and understand what is unique about them. We use this same approach when working with our clients to discover their uniqueness to build a stand out brand.
Zion Nicholas- Creative Director
Kia Ora! My name is Zion Nicholas and am the IAM Studios Creative Director (pretty flash aye, hahah). I enjoy all things fashion, visual design, film, travelling and love a good kai too. I love being apart of awesome kaupapa including my haahi & being māori! IAM to me is more than a business but more of a place I can be my authentic self & express myself creativley. I am excited to be apart of IAM Studios and can't wait for you guys to experience the it too! LESHHGAAO

Angel Cooper- Creative Operator
Kia Orana everyone! My name is Angel, I'm 21 years and my role in IAM Studios is the creative operator. The things I love doing are being with family, a mean roadie and my hahi. One of my passions is to see rangatahi grow into their full potential and build something that creates growth and purpose in an individual. If anything IAM is that place for me! There’s so much more ahead and I’m happy you get to experience it!
